Giving What We Can Pledge
In June 2017, I took the 10% Pledge, committing myself to giving 10% of my income to the most impactful charities until the day I die. As part of the pledge, I agreed to give to organisations that best use these resources to improve lives, now and for future generations. I was the 2,927th person to take this pledge, and I’m currently just shy of £20,000 in donations. Today, over 9,000 people have joined in pledging 10% of their income to high-impact causes that can transform our world. I believe in this movement’s power to create meaningful change, and this decision remains one of the most significant I’ve ever made.

There’s a huge inequality problem in this world. To many, it probably seems normal…but it’s not. Just by living in a high-income country, you’re likely richer than 95% of the world and you have access to resources like clean water, food, and basic health that many people can’t take for granted.
